The Weekend Before..

The weekend before the wedding, we had our stag and hen nights. John went on a pub crawl with his friends and ended up back at home in a considerably worse state than when he went out.

The following night I went to Geppetto's Italian Restaurant in Wolverhampton with a group of female friends and ended up back at home in a considerably better state than John was still in!

I had made 12 favours for the friends going to the meal, consisting of:

• a wicker basket (99p for a pack of 4)
• white crepe paper to line the basket (59p per pack; 2 packs needed)
• a scented candle (59p for a pack of 10)
• a small bottle of scented moisturiser, body lotion, bath foam, or bath oil (50p each)
• a champagne truffle (£2.39 for a box of 16)
• 2 party poppers (£1.00 for a pack of 27)
• offcuts of white veil net to soften the lined effect (50p for a large bag)
• assorted peach and white fabric flowers to decorate (£1.50)
• pearlescent plastic hearts to decorate (£1.50 for a bag)
• a small amount of clingfilm to cover each basket

Each favour basket cost me around £1.50 to make, and it took just over 1 hour to put all 12 baskets together. I think my friends liked them!
