Subject: [BOND] maternity sweater
There is a V-neck maternity sweater in Keyplate News #13 if Lea-Ann still
has any copies. It has long full sleves and a ribbed squared off collar on
the neck. The front is done in 2 sections to make the extra fullness.

Subject: [BOND] Request for patterns: Maternity Knits
How about a trapeze shaped sweater? I've seen several designs in past
issues of Vogue Knitting that I'm sure would adapt to the Bond. Just cast
on more stitches for the bottom, calculate how far up you want to go, and
decrease gradually for the bust so it isn't just a big square.
It would probably be in and out of style after the pregnancy, but then
isn't just about everything?

If this comes out okay, it should be approximately like the pattern shape
shown in Vogue Spring/summer 92. Where it is straight at the top is where
the sleeves/or sleeve holes go.

I have a very pregnant friend, noticed her clothes all had a yoke the
depth of the armhole. Then gathered or pleated pieces underneath.

the yoke was like a drop shoulder sweater from the armhole up and back
was the normal back.

Hi....If I were to make a maternity top, I would take a sweater and make it
up as is except with one exception. Knit the front from side to side up to,
or a bit below the armhole shaping, putting in 2 or 3 short row gussetts.
Bind it off and rehang the top and do the yolk shaping. I've never tried it
but I think that it would work. Might even look cute.

Subject: [BOND] Maternity Pattern
I was thinking you could do the trapeze type
sweater with possibly a tab in the back with buttons. Like on tailored
Jackets. So after the baby, mommy can still wear the sweater and it would be
more of a fitted look. I think this would be a very thoughtful gift.
