Heart shaped headbad

Materials - Weight yarn or your choice fine makes it narrow, heavier makes
it wider.

Cast on by hand 12 stitches.*Knit 12 rows
Pick up the first stitch on needle one and the last stitch on needle 12 and
rehang on centre 2 needles.*
Place the needles in forward working postion so it eases the strain and knit
across slowly.
Change colours every 12 rows if a different coloured band is desired.
Use claw weights rather than a hem .
Knit to desired length.

Note:- I have also seen this done and made into a doormat, it was gorgeous,
it would also make a lovely trim over a a patchwork sweater or afghan,
centering the hear band over the joined edges, have also seen this as well
as a cable design on the diagonal on sweaters and garments.
