Date: Tue, 13 Jan 1998 00:24:40 EST From: KARAPITMAN@aol.com Subject: [BOND] American Flag Sweater I used the pattern for the childs sweater in the beginner book with Redheart yarn. What I did is make the body of the sweater in red & white stripes that were 10 rows tall. Then I made the ribbing in red. The sleeves are in a navy blue with white as the contrast color every 7th stitch (meaning there are 5 stitches between the white stitches). The even rows I moved the white stitches over & then back to the original position on the odd rows. Then I did the ribbing in the navy color. This turned out very cute & was very easy to do.
