Back :
CO 100,110,130 sts with WY...K 6 R...Break off WY...K 86, 94, 110 R with
MY....Put markers at each end of the row to mark arm holes....Use a bit
of WY for this....K 60 more rows....End COR ...break of MY leaving a 2
foot length.....

Back Neck and Shoulders:
Place center 32, 36, 42 sts onto WY...Push needles back to NWP....Push
all
LHS needles ( 34, 37,44 ) up to HP....Make sure the knitting is pushed
back....Place remaining needles ( 34, 37,44 ) onto WY but do not remove
work
for machine yet....Push LHS needles into FWP and place onto WY.... MAKE
SURE LATCHES ARE OPEN...Remove work from machine....Do Not Remove Hem...

Ribbing:
You could do this by hand but since I don't know how I do mine on the
machine...If you want a tighter rib use one size smaller keyplate...

Start with COL...Bring forward 95, 105, 120 needles to HP....With wrong
side of knitting facing you rehang the first row of MY onto these
needles...Let hem hang down behind....Remove every third stitch from
needle....put needle back to NWP....K 16 R ending COL....Latch up
ribs...BO using Back Stitch BO....Remove hem and WY...Set Finished Back
aside....

Front:
Work as for Back up to arm hole markers.....K another 40 rows ending
COR...Put center 12, 16, 24 sts onto WY...Push needles to NWP....Push
Needles on LHS to HP...Using only RHS dec 1 st at neck edge every R 4 X
.......Then dec every other R 6 X ending with 34, 37, 44 sts
remaining...Knit another 4 rows straight...Break off MY Place sts onto
WY....Push needles to HP...Push LHS needles to FWP and repeat as for
RHS...Work Ribbing as for Back...Set aside....

Shoulder Seam:
Bring Forward 34, 37, 44 needles to HP....With the Right side of the
front facing you hang the shoulder stitches from the last row of MY on
the LHS
onto the needles...Only do one shoulder....Use claw weights to weight
your knitting....Push front back against the bed behind the open
latches....With the wrong side of the back facing you hang the
corresponding shoulder stitches ...Bring the stitches behind the latches
( the front Stitches) forward and over the stitches in the hooks of the
needles...It is best to do this by hand....K 1 R with MY....I leave a
really long tail on the back and use that...BO loosely in chain stitch
BO...Before repeating for other shoulder do neck ribbing...

Neck ribbing:
With wrong side facing you rehang every stitch around the neck edge onto
needles...Including those on WY and those around the front sides....You
must pick up every stitch possible or you will have holes......Starting
COL K 1 R....Place every third stitch onto a length of WY and remove
from needle...Place needle into NWP...K 16 R in MY....Latch Up
Ribs......CO onto WY....Repeat shoulder seam procedure for remaining
shoulder...Be careful not to pick up neck band or ribbing stitches when
rehanging shoulder seams....

Sleeves:
Starting COR...Bring forward 86 needles to HP....With the wrong side of
the work facing you place stitches between arm hole markers onto
needles...Be sure to evenly space extra stitches....Hang the hem and
knit the sleeve...dec 1 stitch on each side every 6, 6, 7 rows 20
times...you will end with 46 stitches remaining after you have knit 128,
146
162 R ending COR ...CO onto WY K 6 R...Repeat for other sleeve...

Cuffs:
Bring Forward 41 needles...Rehang last row of MY onto needles...Do Not
remove WY...Remove every third stitch from needle ....Place needle in
NWP...Rehang hem or use claw weights....K 10 R Ending COL....Latch up
ribs....BO using Back stitch....remove weights and WY...Sew side seam of
neck ribbing and then sew down last stitch of MY to body of
sweater...remove WY...Sew side seams and sleeve seams....

I am going to do my next one in Ragg yarn with the twisted cable ribbing
posted by Stacy....
If you have a tall and Cuddly Man to do this for you may want to add
some rows above the arm hole markers to widen the sleeves.....
